To anyone who is watching this right now - here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Go ahead and download the latest version of the Android TV image from Konstakang's page. As of writing this, it's Android 11.
2. The only zip file now you have to download is the gapps - the link for which is on Konstakang's page.
3. I prefer to delete the resolutions.txt file from the boot folder. The preferred resolution is usually the best.
4. Since you only need gapps, that is the only file you'll be flashing in TWRP.

Apart from these points, everything else is exactly how it is shown in the video.

This gives the best 1080p30 YouTube performance on the pi 4!!!! No screen tearing, no dropped frames.
Other DRM streaming services are hit and miss. E.g. Amazon prime doesn't play

runs fine with Khadas VIM3 probably due to chip is same used for high-end android tv boxes

Is Android TV the only place Kodi is not hardware accelerated? Until now I was under the impression it was like VLC: Runs on anything, plays anything, just works. I have friends using an Android TV 4.1 box with Kodi and it plays 1080p H265 10bit just fine. If it doesn't do this hardware-accelerated it wouldn't play at all I'm sure. Is it possible it's a bitrate issue? I've seen problems on an RPi4 before with high bitrates that come with Blu-ray-rips where files are 20-30GB in size.

If your raspberry pi 4 stays stuck on the rainbow screen try using the difrent hdmi port. one of the porst is the primary one and one the secondary one. On the secondary one will there be a rainbow screen shown

Hi! Thank you for making this tutorial. I have a question though: is it normal that it takes a while for it to reboot the system. I did all the steps, wipe, install etc. But after clicking on reboot system, it takes a long time (more than an hour, still busy rebooting). I reflashed the image and put new files on the usb en sd card, and started again from the top. Nothing helped with speeding up the process. I also tried to switch from power supply, although i have the original one from Raspberry. Could you help me with this? Hope to hear from you. Thank you!

hi i tried google duo in this setup.... logitech c922 pro webcam was not detected by pi4... what could be the issue?
