If you want to add one more of the great customer service, I twice had to contact whistler. The first time the speaker went bad and I shipped it in, they sent me back a brand new detector with zero fade and all new plastic on it! The second time my suction cups went bad and needed new ones and contacted them asking to buy some and they just sent me some. Excellent company to deal with.

This is the ONLY source I've found so far that said the Whistler wasn't absolute garbage.  My wife bought one for me for Christmas...let's hope this guy is right.

What is with the arrow and why does it point in just any direction at any given time? I can be setting in my driveway and it's pointing one direction.... I can shut it down and come out later and turn it on, and it's pointing in another direction. Any ideas?

Hello Any reason why Whistler has not sent in the Updates for the CR 90, last one was Oct. 2015.They were usually pretty  much one time every month, but there was no November update and now it is December

Ive had a pro 78-se for well over 6 years and loved it. its time i start looking for a new detector that can deal with safety radar systems on most cars now days. The pro 78-se just falses too much with the new technology. Hoping these new detectors filter falses well.

How can I get the compass to show the direction on the display? I've been trying for weeks. Thanks!

Just wondering.... does anyone know: Why has the VG2 been removed from this model? Why has the compass reading/direction been removed and been replaced with an arrow on this model? How to get this model to actually display your speed as I understand it is supposed to? Not sure I like this "better" version. Anyone able to answer these questions? Thanks.

I called your store and the girl said they only have two 5075exs detectors left so I got them so I can send one for upgrades in firmware while I use the other I asked her if it gave the frequencies and she said yes IT DOESN'T I also asked about the G5 and she said they haven't had it for 2 years what's going on with the staff with all the models why don't they have them any more ? Are your videos outdated ? Major dissappointment

I have some questions... I'm not a SPEEDER/RACER, but like anyone else, I may do 5 or 6 MPH over the speed limit.... so I won't be needing to slow down from 130 MPH to 50 MPH with in seconds.

The other issue that I run into while working, is where the speed limit will drops from 50 MPH to 35 MPH on the same stretch of road and a police car is there waiting with radar at the ready, ready to ticket anyone doing more then 5 MPH over the speed limit.

My point, I don't need the most super long range detector, just one to advice me of when police are using radar in the area, and to alert me to radar cameras that issue tickets.

I've been using my old Uniden Stalker Radar Radar Detector that I've had since, I think late 1990's/early 2000's (?). And I've been fortunate enough not to have been issued any tickets, but a few wildlife researchers on my team have while traveling to or from work... two of the tickets are for doing 55 in a 50 MPH zone!

So, I'm in the market for an updated Radar Detector, and have limited funding for detectors for each person in my research group. This detector and other in the price range are what I've been looking at.

I've been warned away from the Whistlers... the so-called "Experts" tell me that they're junk, and the I need one of the detectors in the $300 to $600 price range. However, the simple fact is that I don't have budget.

Should the Whistler CR93 detector protect drivers as long as they're not excessively speeding or racing (within 5 mph of the speed limit)... and is it a reliable unit... and does it's features truly work well ??? And would the Whistler CR90 (previous version of this detector shown here) work as well?

Also... would the Beltronics RX65 or PRO200 (also in my budget) be better options?
