Wildfires across the western portion of the United States, particularly in but not limited to places like California, have become increasingly destructive over the past 10 years. Fires like the Camp Fire, Tubbs Fire, North Complex, Carr Fire, LNU Lightening Complex, Creek Fire, and many more have destroyed more than 50,000 buildings and causes millions if not billions of dollars of damage since the 1990s.

There are some very clear reasons as to why this is happening – Climate Change, Forest Management Policy, and Housing Development in WUIs (Wildland Urban Infrastructure) are a few key reasons.

In this video I break down the primary causes of the increasingly destructive nature of wildfires and share a few of the key solutions that experts have proposed.

I heard a song years ago that said the rains will kill us all Nope the fires will burn our forest and our food growing states if we don’t get people to stop arguing about their agendas and start working together before the wildfires burn us all? That my line of thinking

Maybe I am being a little more bleak than the current reality but someone has to do something and fast other wise it will be too little too late.

Take care everyone and stay safe out there!

If climate change is such a major factor, then why does the west coast of Canada not catch fire every year? It's not like the weather is drastically different from a forest in Washington to one in Canada a couple miles away? It's very clear that bad federal and state policy has way more to do with why California can't get this under control.

#1 reason for gnarly fires in dry forests in the west: more fuel.

Would you be able to sit at the same distance from a campfire with 5 pieces of wood as one with 50 pieces of wood? Nope. We have 10 times the fuel today as compared to 150 years ago.
