why this isn't a top 10 hit is beyond me, it has all the frequencies you love and then some

This pink noise is perfect for mixing. I was working on an electronic folk, Bon Iver type project and it mixed it almost perfect. Now on to the master and then release the demo.

Thanks. I needed something like this to be sure my new speakers were balanced. I don't have any test equipment so am just using my ears. Very helpful.

I'm in a noisy cafe, trying to work, and this is helping on headphones. Thank you!

This was so helpful to tune up the DSP for my jeep audio system. Good quality pink noise that made my stereo system sounds amazing once the tuning was done. Thank you.

I just analyzed it with a real time Yamaha eq-630 (not the best rta) and shows a good flat response better than most pink noises out there in YouTube, I'm shure updating to better quality cables can make a little bit better difference specially in the lower end. Anyways good video, I use it a lot to calibrate my sound equipment thank you

Except that YouTube streams it at 128kbps and 16 bits. Oh well.

Just checked this with an RTA. Seems to be one of the flatter response curve pink noise videos on YouTube.

Too bad my system don't have built-in pink noise. Used chromecast audio to get sound through system. Not perfect, but gets the job done. This video came in handy with RadioShack spl meter propped up to ear level in my listening chair to finally calibrate my stereo system + dual subwoofers without guessing. Nowadays there's spl apps to sort of get into the ballpark which u are at the mercy of your phones mic. No running HVAC system/ fans/etc. environment noises while calibrating. Set spl meter on C-WEIGHT and response to SLOW. Wear ear plugs if you want. Set volume control to 75 db for main speakers powered individually. Use balance control for each speaker or unplug individually. Power both speakers on and it should read ~78db. Now with main speakers totally off and disconnected, power up subwoofers on one at a time, I set mine up at 72 db for both subs = ~ 78 db. Room acoustics is the deciding factor for first db readings. May have to +-3 db to get 78 db with both subs driven. Although 75db is recommended for subs to match main speakers, I always found it to be thin sounding. Hope this helps anyone on how to use pick noise for speaker calibration purposes.
Note: For more accurate readings, allow audio system as a whole to warm-up (30 min- 1 hour) to get everything within specs before calibrating. AudioGuy signing
