Reacting to Thirty One Gifts CEO's Tone-Deaf Farewell: No Accountability, No Empathy, Just Smiles! 🙄

In today’s video, I'm reacting to the tone-deaf farewell message from Thirty One Gifts’ CEO, who is announcing the MLM closure of the company to her dedicated Distributors.

This isn’t your typical emotional goodbye—instead, it’s filled with virtue signaling, a lack of empathy, and absolutely no accountability, in my opinion.

As I break down her message, it becomes clear that this is yet another example of how multi-level marketing companies operate in a predatory way, leaving their loyal salesforce with nothing but empty smiles and excuses. I beg to differ on her claim that so many people made money with Thirty One Gifts. We ALL know the statistics with MLM and I'm sure the Distributors with thousands in inventory would like to have a word with her.

Throughout this reaction, we’ll discuss how MLM leaders often fail to take responsibility for the impact of their decisions, abandoning the people who invested time, energy, and loyalty into the company to finance their upline's lifestyle.

This closure is a reminder of the harsh reality of MLM exit strategies, where the CEO’s smiling face masks the real fallout for those left in the dust. If you’re interested in exposing the lack of empathy in MLMs and seeing how virtue signaling and deflecting blame are standard MLM tactics, you won’t want to miss this!

The best thing you can do to support them is to listen, be kind and connect them to resources so they can make their own decisions. Not everyone involved with an MLM is a bad person. They are very much a victim of their upline and company that have manipulated them to make money, in my opinion. The CEO sounds like she’s relieved to get rid of the company. That explains why she’s smiling through and through.

The cadence and tone reminds me of when the women would speak at LDS general conference (on the rare chance of even speaking). It’s the sweet sing/song voice in extreme patriarchal religious organizations.

My thoughts after listening to her: Tell me you're insincere without telling me your insincere. Monotone. Expressionless. Blank eyes. I dont believe she is upset with her business closing.

I remember watching Julie's video on this and finding the CEO's tone and inflection very strange.

I definitely would not want this lady to deliver any sot of bad news. "Your grandma is dead., " she said with a smile.

Her inflections and tone don’t match a CEO closing a business!! You’re right Erin, poor delivery and sounds very cultish, like she’s under a spell!!! IMO!

I highly doubt she chose to forgo her salary. Clearly, her mismanagement of an unethical business model led to so little profit that she was forced to forgo her salary. Her singsong cadence, condescending tone, incongruous presentation, faith manipulation, toxic positivity, failure to take accountability and lack of empathy are hallmarks of a con artist.

The lack of genuineness is incredibly. She looks like someone whose never experienced human emotion but had it explained to her in great detail.

I want to hear this in Jennifer Coolidge’s voice. I might be able to understand her better that way. But it’s so absurd that only Jennifer Coolidge could save this speech

Thirty-One gifts is a Christian based company (surprise, surprise) so her voice reminds me of the baby talk, "keep sweet" voice a lot of women in that community use. It's a wild voice to use while you layoff your entire company.

If you told me this was an ex-distributor repeating her words in a mocking tone I would believe you

She has that Mormon tone. If you've seen any of their official religious content you'll know what I mean.

Yeah, she gives me bad vibes. "Bye guys, hope you enjoyed being scammed, " is what I feel she's saying through all of this speech.

People who have never struggled and will walk away consequence free. That’s what that tone is.

Why is she so smiley while dropping this bombshell of shutting the doors on the distributors??

I did love some 31 totes, though. I bought one a decade ago as a hospital bag for a terminally ill child, and it is still going strong as a hospital bag, many foster kids later. 😂
