Message to the White House Summit on Early Education

On 10 December, President Obama hosted a White House Summit on Early Education. Shakira is a member of the President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, and is a strong advocate for high-quality early education. She sent the summit this video message.

I think we all know shakira is beautiful and talented, but she wanted us to look at the bigger picture here.
Education is very important.
I'm graduatiing from high school at age 17 on December 18 I pushed myself to get that far, but without early education that my mom put me in could it have turned out different I think so.
I also believe school should be a fun learning experience, with new technology installed in every school make LEARNING FUN because doing the same routine gets very boring especially in this day and age. Maybe even less hours in school because to me it's completely unnecessary to stay for 7 hours, when you go to college for only 4 hours or less. But I hope everyone gets the educational opportunities that they can to make it in life.

The first issue is always to establish strong, deep emotional connections with those who are raising you. And that should be our emphasis in society. If we did this, we would send our children to school late, not early.
