Britain’s most senior police officers have joined the Head of the Metropolitan Police Service in calling on the government to give greater legal protection to firearms officers after a sergeant was cleared of murder following the fatal shooting of Chris Kaba.

I said this before and say once more a car can be used as a weapon; we all know this, so Chris Kaba was not unarmed. Just watch the footage where he tries to use the car as a weapon to escape the police. Now if this young man had done what he was told to do by the police, he would be alive today.

Who would be a firearms Officer or be in the Army these days? The government does not protect you. There are still prosecutions going on for active service in Nth Ireland in the 1970's. This is why good people are turning away from public service. This Officer should have NOT BEEN NAMED.
