One of my former positions was an Information Systems Security Manger over a classified program. I worked with the Facility Security Officer to either maintain or apply for employee clearances. If the FSO and I worked together we could complete an employees clearance request paperwork in about 2-3 hours total. If DT’s lawyers took 45 days to complete their paperwork, it was a stall tactic. Hands down. For those of you out there not familiar with this process it’s not complicated; especially for an educated attorney.
