I'm from eastern Oregon (Hermiston) one time squatters moved into a friend's property, the squatters laughed and said shit like "squatters rights" and "it will take forever to take us to courts" so we just gathered a bunch of our friends and just rushed through house and kicked everyone's ass in the building and threw their shit into a dump truck and drove off with it and chased them down the streets. what great day that was!

If they have no rental contract they should have no right being on the property. They should then be treated as criminals and either made to leave and or arrested for trespassing on private property. There "was" a nice 2.5 acre wooded lot behind my house. I say "was" because squatters moved onto the property, cut down several pine trees and brought a ton of garbage and broken down vehicles. The owner lived out of state and didn't know this was going on at first. There were several complaints made by neighbors to the county of a course of over 2 years. After several letters to the property owner by the county the owner was finally forced to start eviction proceedings. It took several months to get rid of the squatters. The property owner had to pay to have the property cleaned up, it was expensive. Sadly, as I mentioned in the beginning, several nice pine trees of a least 40-50 yrs old were cut down and used for firewood by the squatters, forever tarnishing the property and lowering the value of the land. Oregon is ridiculous. It should never take longer than 30 days to evict a squatter from beginning to end of process. These people are criminals and should be treated as such.

1:04 "feels those laws are there to avoid violent no if anything they CAUSE them. Telling a property owner they have to spend almost a year and at least 10, 000-30, 000 in legal fees to evict a burglar, only drives owners to take matters into their own hands. If someone NEVER had permission to be on the property, a homeowner should be able to get a signed eviction and have it served SAME DAY. Obviously evicting valid tenants who leased the property is different. But I'm sick and tired of burglars bringing a sleeping bag and suddenly they're not criminals any more.

4 months to go through the courts in WA state. Plus $1400 (bond and charges) for the cops to remove them. Now I get to pay for cleanup. The system is broken. They act like property owners have a big bag of money to jump through all their hoops. The squatters are nit held accountable for the damage they do.

Save yourself the trouble and NEVER purchase a home in Oregon. Purchase in another state that respects its citizens.

Squatters are not tenants They dont belong there in the first place! Ridiculous! Eviction? Breaking and entering is a crime. Hello they're illegally trespassing! When reporting a crime is treated as a crime The criminals have won. Shame! This is stupid.

Homeowners insurance. Break the windows, invite bikers to camp out on your lawn. I actually know someone who’s home was invaded by crack heads. She knew some bikers, about 25 of em rolled into the yard and surrounded the house. They were loud and acted violent. Crack heads left after an hour. True story.

If somebody spends two nights in your house it's considered their house also. You cannot get them out it's almost impossible to get them out just like the squatters. We have the most crazy stupid laws here in Oregon

If you have squatters move into your home. Do not tell anyone you have squatters. Just rent a backhoe and dig some deep 6ft long holes in your yard ( the number of holes depends on the number of squatters). You can figure out the rest of the process !
