The Paired Single Crochet Stitch is a fun variation of the single crochet. It is comprised of single crochet and single crochet two together stitches. I creates a solid texture that is similar on both sides.

In this video I will be using a 5 mm crochet hook and a little bit of the Cotton Aran yarn by Paintbox yarns.

Thank you for watching!

Thanks again for stopping by! Be sure to crochet something beautiful today!

Thanks for this pattern. I’m really trying to like my Furls crochet hook like the one you are using but I think I hold it differently and so it’s not ergonomically fitting in my hand properly. So not only am I watching you make the stitches but I’m noting how you hold your Furls hook. I hold mine usually almost like a pencil and I use metal hooks with a rubber handle. So I’m trying to change things up a bit.

I’m using this pattern for a scarf in which I will change colors. Iv watched several videos on changing colors at the end of a row, but I’m not sure where is best in this stitch. Should I bring the new color when I have 2 loops of the old one on my hook-right before I do my chain one to turn?

I love this stitch and started a scarf with it using an acrylic/wool blend #3 fiber. It curled up like Little Orphan Annie's hair ringlets! Nothing I did would keep it flat - it would just gradually resume it's curl. Obviously, I frogged it. Any ideas on why that happened? I've made a scarf with the same yarn and different stitch before and no problem!
