Will Gulf of Mexico Be Renamed 'Gulf of America'?

Donald Trump wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico as "Gulf of America." It's one of his first executive orders he announced during his inaugural address. Hillary Clinton seemed to chuckle at the idea. Another Trump executive order was changing Denali in Alaska, the highest peak in North America, back to Mount McKinley. The signings began shortly after the president's swearing-in ceremony.

Edit: Mb, misspelled Gulf but its so funny how much a typo bothers you guys.. also before anyone else comments why Gulf of America sounds more goofy, first off, just think about it and you’ll realize. Secondly, renaming it would take away its historical significance and cultural identity. Not everything is about America, and quite frankly, I think it should fix itself first before trying to expand and rename years of history.
