By the time you factor into buying everything (rtw, shoe, fine jewellery etc) to get their bags, including non quota bags. The bag is not an investment. I think just buy things that you love to use is more important than getting suck into thinking is an investment. 😊

I have an issue with how we as consumers who actually pay the money, act like we are at the mercy of the employees who don’t do anything but sell us the items…everyone should just treat each other normally just like we enter any other store to purchase items.. it has become too much. There have been SAs who act like butts and instead of me wanting to buy something I decide not to spend my money and give them a commission…

Yes, I'm curious because after a year and a half of being with my SA, I was surprised that my SA started texting me photos of certain items to see if I'd be interested in purchasing it? It was just recently that my SA started doing this, and it got me curious as to why? Any ideas as to why? Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Thank you.

I really like a birkin in neutral colour ie Craig.Benton, mushroom…but here in Vancouver, Canada I heard that the ratio for quota bag (whether you have good relationship with SA or so-so relationship) is minimum 3 to usually 4 and sometime can reach to 5 times.

I first bought some fine jewellery a few months ago. Last week my SA contracted and offered me a Picotin, even though my wish is a Birkin. By taking the Picotin now, do you reckon that I will need to build up my pre spending again for the Birkin, or the Picotin is a part of the pre spending?

The fact that an SA at Hermès whose annual gross earning maybe less than some of us who earns just in a month or even a week, but manage to make us feel small and grateful when they offer us a bag that we have to pay for is just not right.

I have purchased quite a lot of things over the years but I don't have a regular sa. The last one I purchased from didn't give me his number so I can't make an appointment with him so each time I drop by I get someone else and I normally spend a minimum of $2k when I come in.
Any tips on getting a regular sa?

Very helpful! I am from Australia too. One question, when is it appropriate to ask for SA contact details when you are a new customers? I have visited and purchased twice, each time I thought we had good interaction but each time no contacts volunteered which is different to my experience in other stores. I am a chatty person and usually SA will just give me their contacts in other stores….
