I bought GT 2000 12 and it felt sooo bouncy yet stable. Easy pick up the pace. My current favorite stability shoe

Got these recently and they work really well. Crunching miles without any issues :)

Thanks for the review. I have to give another skip on this. Long term fans of ASICS, specifically GT series. Past 5years update in asics lineup has not been working for me fitting and their questionable design like the heel flare and minimalist tounge on a daily shoes. I noticed it after they open the HQ in Boston 2018, can't be coincidence.

For years I have loved how ASICS felt on my feet, until they started messing with the stability tech. The posts never bothered me, but the new stuff seems to just push my feet in weird ways, like to the outside. The GT2000s were the last with the old tech, and I loved them. Goodbye ASICS. The way you used to do stability really worked better for some people. It would have been nice if you kept one model around for them. Not every model has to be the same.

Thanks for the review Ryan! Really love the direction ASICS is going in here. Have had the Kayano 28 and 29 and while they were comfortable the foam just felt dead. The Kayano 30s are my current favourite (I also run in the Brooks Glycerin GTS 20 and Hoka Arahi 6) and am interested to check out the GT 2000 -12 for what i hope is a similar but lighter feeling shoe.

I went in for the 12 as someone who's never owned a pair of asics. I needed a 14, they only had that in the V11. Im getting them for a stable/neutral walking shoe for work (as a nurse. I was so happy with how they felt walking around I completely forgot about the V12 id come in there for.

I went in the store for a pair if arahi 6 as the new 7 rub the arch of my right foot too much. Got their last pair of those and liked the gt 2000 V11 so much, and at 42 bucks off, ended up leaving with those as well. Lol

I had the Kayano 28 then the 29 and gt2000 11, but this year I steered away from the Kayano 30. I will probably do the same for my gt series. The direction that Asics is going is just not working for me.

Really forward to trying a lower drop, lighter version of the kayano

I can't figure out how it's providing pronation control without a medial post or some form of medial support?

In my area, neither are available to try in store. It's very difficult to make a decision without trying the shoes. I have plantar fasciitis and plantar fibromas. Finding shoes that I can wear on concrete all day is nearly impossible. I'm hoping the kayano 30 is a good choice. If so, I'll be buying many pairs in different colors.

I am prone to supination rather than pronation. Do you think gt2000 12 might cause any injury if I run in them? Thanks

Can I wear this as a daily sneaker for a long time? If not then which Asics should I buy?

I did buy a few ASICS shoes, but somehow I never want to keep using them, only for a short period of time, then they ended up being thrown away

I now have the 11 and need the stability due to some bad ankles due to previous injuries. Is the 12 as stable as the 11, the new specs sound a bit more flexible, so I'm a bit in doubt.

Thanks Ryan for the review. I think the new heel collar might be better compared to last year's when using the shoe without socks. I'm looking forward to 12 as I assume it is a lighter version of Kayano 30 and upgraded version of Kayano Lite 3. If you have time, can you please comment on the midfoot volume compared to 11 and Kayano 30?

Bought the Kanano 30 for walking in the Walk of the World in Nijmegen Holland this July. I tried the Nimbus 26 but found them not as stable. I will but something else as well because the second day is stairs, fields and much more off road. Not sure what will be best for my feet for that.

Although I research what shoes may be best for me, when it comes down to it, nobody is thinking about how thick a tongue is, what kind of mesh is on the shoe or what kind of laces are on your shoes when you are running excruciating miles in 100 degree heat hating every minute of it. It's about what your feet and joints feel like when you are finished.

If they've screwed these up, I'll need to find another new brand of shoe.

I was a New Balance guy for many years, then they changed the back of the heel to something like this one. My heel would constantly slip.

So I found Asics and the GT-2000.

Ugh.
