A SIMPLE Low Budget Trick to Help Bulletproof Your Home for SHTF! Part 1

Just wanted to share an inconspicuous little trick that can help fortify the average home, (part 1)…

Suggestion, you can also plans defensive plants to deter people from trying to climb the planters to get into the house by other means like windows. Thorny plants like roses, cactus, milk thistle, ext.

This is awesome information. Just one caveat to building these around your property: they work in both directions, meaning that anyone assaulting your position can also seek cover behind them. For real “spicy times, ” you may want to add “anti-personnel measures” around those barriers to ensure you have the backsides covered in the event of them being used by OPFOR.

Add gravel or rocks to the sand, and put reinforced rubber sheets about the thickness of a semi truck mud flap (or thicker) across the front inside of the box before you fill it. Any holes in the rubber sheet will just close back up and keep your sand inside. Don't worry about the back side - the bullet should never make it that far.

Yep, good vid. And I can confirm the additional effectiveness of stopping vehicle incursion. Growing up my family retail business suffered many ram raid robberies. All types of bollards/barriers failed. But 3 big concrete planters were never breached.

Don't forget that fire wood pile. At an angle to the road and packed tight with a double row of fire wood. Fire wood is also a form of wealth and security during a SHTF condition.

Gravel is better and doesn't need to be kept dry. You can find video on YouTube of 6 inches of gravel stopping concentrated, repeating .308 steel cores.

One thing you can also do if you have the funds, replace the standard Dry Wal with Ballistic Dry Wall, added with the planters this will effectively stop most large caliber rounds such as those of a .50 BMG (Browning Machine Gun). SFC E7 USA Retired.

Thank you so much I'm buying it Church which means that it's an open floor plan which is very bad for cover this will help me fill in some strategic gaps incidentally I plan on planting roses inside the planters that way people can't just rush and jump over them either not without feeling the thorns of Christ

The one thing about putting planter boxes out in your yard is that it also works in the reverse. It will give attackers a place of cover closer to your home than wanted. Keeping the boxes close to your house gives you a clear field of fire and prevents attackers from getting in close.

I was bed-spacing at a dorm near the university in the early 2000s. The building was old. Next-door neighbors often have their friends over, drink and get rowdy all night. It's a nightmare for 2 college girls! What we did was have family strengthen the door and windows. Then installed screened metal door and metal grills on the windows. When that's done my Roommate and I placed our cabinets and heavy furniture against the next to the noisy neighbors. We also kept it low and dress modestly so not to get attention of Jocks & Jerks next door.

Plant spiky plants in the planters under windows. Helps deter burglars, even if SHTF never happens. It's what I have in some raised beds. Never thought about the home protection against weapons use in SHTF, though.

I would build the box in sections of three...fist and third world be flat rocks ( like you see in stream that size) stacked, not flat but on it side in rows tightly fitting and the middle with sand cover with plastic but I would put long plastic growing containers over the sand part to put the plants in and I would put drainages holes in the bottom where the rocks to drain the water out...
