7 Tips For Living A Healthy Life.
As good as modern medical technology is,
it can never save you from the problems caused by unhealthy living.
An ounce of prevention, is certainly better than a pound of cure.
Here are seven tips for living a healthy life.
1. Exercise!
In the past people had to use their physical bodies in the course of their normal work.
These days most people get up, drive to work, and sit at their computer. They rarely get up from their desk.
They drive home and eat dinner, and play on their phones. There's not much of physical labor with all the technology at our hands.
This physical inactivity is one of the main reasons for a host of diseases.
Adding sports, like running or walking must be added to your daily life.
Especially, if our normal work does not require you to exert yourself physically.
2. Get 6 to 8 hours of sleep.
This may sound simple, but many people stay up late. Even when their body is telling them that it is time to sleep.
It is better to sleep at night and be active during the day.
Many people drink coffee, or take stimulants to work late into the night.
Others develop the habit of remaining active at night, and sleep during the day.
Eventually the lack of sleep takes a toll on your health.
It is a contributing factor in acquiring cancer and other diseases.
3. Eat when you feel hungry, not out of habit or social pressure.
This is a simple idea, but we often go against the messages of our bodies.
Eating a large meal can affect your sleep, your weight, and your organs over the short and long term.
This causes acidity and indigestion. It contributes to the likelihood of other more complex diseases taking root.
4. Fast on a Regular Basis
If you would ask a person to work 365 days per year without any rest, They would complain!
They would say they need a break! Fasting gives your digestive system a break.
It also gives you a feeling a physical “lightness,” which provides a boost of energy.
Another reason for this energy-surge is because in a normal diet, our body generally converts foods to carbs and sugars.
Fasting retrains our body to convert energy from fats, and boosting our natural energy levels.
This allows your digestive system to rest, and also helps in the elimination of wastes from your body.
5. Take a warm bath before bed.
A warm bath will help you to relax and prepare you for deep sleep.
A warm bath is a well-known remedy for people with insomnia, or who have difficulty falling asleep.
It also helps to keep blood pressure in control.
6. Perform meditation on a regular basis!
Your body is linked to your mind.
Stress and anxiety take their toll on our physical health.
Meditation is a mental exercise.
It allows you to detach yourself from worries and stress of life.
Learn a simple technique and do it regularly.
7. Get up early every day!
The old proverb, “Early to bed, early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise.”
I don’t know if it will make you wealthy, but it will certainly make you healthy.
Early risers generally have better sleep patterns than night owls.
Rising earlier and planning your day in advance creates doable goals.
So you're not rushing out in the morning.
More importantly you will be more productive and have more energy to get things done.
Follow these tips and be consistent and you'll see results.
