Mine had the Elnas 22uf 35V and they were all shot. They were 30 years old. As for the discrepancies with the caps. It's all about availability at the time and $. Some of the parts I ordered just a year ago have either become obsolete or dissappeared. Just put GOOD fresh caps on the boards and do them all at once. 85 deg rated caps are fine, 105 deg are fine too - but cost a little more. My OB-Xa doesn't get hot or go wonky. It's rock solid.

Yup. the funny thing is that I ordered the 100 count elna 22uf 35V and replaced even the "non-voice" Illinois Capacitor ones (those rated at 15uf 35V), to make use of them since my other synths have refreshed caps throughout. Funny thing is that my OB-Xa has been really stable even when I got it 24 years ago, but I decided just to do it as a precautionary measure.

I know I'm about a year and a few months late to this video, however 6 of my OB-Xa voice cards have Elna caps rated @ 35V 22uf 85 degrees, whilst the two of them are Illinois Capacitor brands rated @ 35V 15uf 105 degrees (exactly like the Al electrolytics on the main logic board as well as the front panel boards). Just curious if yours was a similar case?
