Gun supervisor for 'Rust' movie sentenced for fatal shooting by Alec Baldwin on set

A New Mexico judge Monday, April 15, 2024, sentenced “Rust” movie armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed to 18 months in prison for fatal on-set shooting by Alec Baldwin.

Alec is responsible as well. You alway treat every gun as being loaded and able to kill no matter the situation. A responsible person always checks the weapon to see if it’s loaded and you never point it at someone unless you’re wanting to destroy what you’re aiming at. Alec should’ve visually checked to see what was loaded in the weapon he had. Simple and easy to do.

I don't know how many times I've been handed a firearm at somebody else's home or business. They always say it's not loaded. The f*** it ain't.
Is my response numerous times. Too bad Alec Baldwin wasn't more knowledgeable about what he was doing. I have never fired a gun without knowing exactly what ammo was in it.

If Alec Baldwin doesn't get a more severe sentence than this girl does, then you know there is no justice. That judge telling her that "you and you alone" made this gun dangerous is 100% wrong. The greater responsibility lies with the "man" with the gun in his hand. He is responsible for what happened with that gun.

She is not a gun supervisor. There is no such thing as gun supervisor. She is (and soon to be was) a movie armorer, and soon would be barred from legally owning any gun.

The justice would be served when Baldwin is also sentenced to similar terms, but I am not holding my breath as he is well connected and very wealthy. I actually feel bad for her for being into a role or roles way over her head, but her recklessness and drug use on the set are inexcusable. Because of these Alec Baldwin who is a major producer as well as the actor that fired the fatal shot should receive a longer prison sentence.
