G20 summit: World leaders pose for “family photo” with first responders in Rome

First responders joined G20 leaders on Saturday as they gathered for a group photo in Rome, Italy, an iconic moment during the summit where leaders are seen posing for cameras together.

This year's summit is seen as particularly important because it comes just before the United Nations COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow, Scotland, where the outcome of the G20 meeting will be critical.

Italy has been slowly emerging from the pandemic after becoming the first Western country to be hit hard by COVID-19 in March 2020.

On Oct. 15, the Italian government made the use of COVID-19 health passes, or Green Pass, mandatory for all workers in a test case for Europe, to control the spread of COVID-19.

But Groups of protesters call the Green Pass mandate a violation of human rights.
