I just returned from a WDW trip we went to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom every wait time for an attraction that we went on had a posted standby time that was on average 20 minutes longer than the actual wait time. During all our time in line we didn't see a single person with one of those red tags they use to measure wait times. My conclusion is they are intentionally inflating wait times to sell more Individual Lightning Lanes!

The irony is they didn't make their fortune on the rich. The regular working people made Disney World. And, there are more of them than the rich. As they walk away there are not enough rich people to make up that lost revenue.

Among the most meaningful changes in the first few decades of Disneyland was the adoption of one charge admission, replacing the books of tickets for individual rides. It improved the customer experience because all the pain was up front. Once in the park, the only focus was on having as much fun as possible. It set Disney apart from other "carnival" type venues. What they've done here is the exact opposite of that. This company is "innovating" backwards.

Disney is demanding that you become expert in a complicated and expensive system of standing in lines. This is bad for people who have been saving up to be able to just barely afford the one trip of a lifetime for all the kids.

I'm in the UK, and we can't even buy the Lightening Lane at 7 days out. Disney has blocked us from purchasing it. We have to wait until we land in the US, which for most of us is the day we check in to Disney, so we are already at a disadvantage as all the most popular rides will be gone. I'm staying 14 nights in a Deluxe resort but have less benefits than a US guest staying 1 night at an All Stars value. Luckily I have found away around the problem. From now on, I giving Disney the finger and taking the $15, 000 I usually spend for 14 nights at their Deluxe resorts and extending my usual 7 night stay at Universal RPR to 21 nights instead. If they want to treat me as a second class guest I'll simply take my custom elsewhere. There has been a massive outcry about this in the UK and Disney simply ignores us. People are cancelling and many of us are never going to give them another penny. How ironic that a company that insists on DEI are happy to discriminate against all overseas guests when it suits them. They can take their money grabbing and DEI agendas and stick it.

Spend a couple of days at Disney, then the same amount of time at Universal & Islands of Adventure. You will NEVER go back to the house of mouse once you experience the difference. BTW-My wife & I used to be perrenial top tier pass holders at Disney-no more! No we are Premier Passholders at Universal and we would never look back! Disney R.I.P. 2019

So, let me get this straight. On a vacation you are planning, planning, planning!!! Whatever happened to free form spontaneity? People are planning hours to go on a ride that lasts only seconds? They are standing in long lines to ride half-baked, broken down, second rate attractions. Looks like you have a choice of losing your money up front by staying in the resorts or losing it finally by taking second rate entertainment. Kiss my a$$ Disney!!

The biggest crime is they will continue to sell the lightning lane day of even knowing that all of the good rides are sold out for the day. I used it once at Magic Kingdom. I got on 3 rides for the day!! All of my lightning lane choices went down and it screwed me for the rest of the day!!
