Today's video is on the topic of hands. Many of us are diligent about paying special attention to the skincare needs of the face, but the hands are often neglected. Even I'm guilty of this! Despite the fact that they are readily exposed to the harsh conditions of the environment, we seem to consistently forget about them when it comes to skincare. This video will give you a few of my tips and tricks to taking better care of your hands.
Thank you so much for all the lovely feedback and comments on my last video on the topic of cellulite, if you haven't watched it yet you can watch it here ⌲

La Roche Posay Lipikar Baume AP+ is singlehandedly the best dry skin cream I have ever used. I have had eczema on my forearms for years, and no moisturizer or cream, medicated or not, ever had the tremendous positive impact this balm cream has had. Not only is my skin soft and hydrated, but it no longer itches and the skin has actually repaired itself beyond anything I could have hoped for! I will definitely be stocking up on this for the coming winter, and think it would make a wonderful hand cream as well! I think there is an actual hand cream in this line called Lipikar Hand Repair Cream which I may test out too.

Hi I get eczema on my hands and I have to put cream on all the time. I was a staff nurse for 20 years so they really suffered and I wear pure oil, then cream, then I wear cotton gloves overnight (yes I know really glamerous) and only use my steroid cream when I really have to. I also like the hand chemistry hyaluronic acid as a first step under my handcream if I'm home during the day (between washing). I used to use cavillon during the day as a barrier cream during the workday, as I washed them about 50 x a day. Best wishes.

I hate the feel of greesy hands! Hate it! Hate it, I did not use hand cream for years...until I found
Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex. I love this product. My hands have never been so soft. Actually some weeks ago, I have writtent to this company to suggest an spf for a day hand cream. Here in Canada, it is not easy to find, but in the UK I understand the product can be found in Boot's.

But what to do when you are older and have a few age spots and wrinkles and general lack of fat. Resulting in scrawny, bones hand with very visible veins. Guessing too far gone . I do put retinal on after I put on face in hope! Still wishing I knew your current blush and lipstick. Gorgeous.

I have started popping my eye cream in my pocket and use it as hand cream.
Both because they are small and because I have three that I never use.

The only hand cream I've found that doesn't make my hands greasy and oily afterwards is Clarins Hand and Nail Cream (the white bottle). I used some of my mum's and fell in love!
Sam, what's your thoughts on Deciem's new 'The Ordinary' products? (particularly the 2% retinoid and niacinamide/zinc products)

Thanks Dr B! I like the Flexitol range esp the nail & cuticle cream. I'm same as you - don't like the feeling of cream all over my hands. I like their footcream too - has urea in it which I think makes a difference?

In Germany they sell a lot of extra-care handcreams containing 5 or 10 % urea: do you recommend them?
