I Make a Car Candy Dispenser (from Wayne's World!)

Do you remember Wayne and Garth's licorice dispenser in their Mirthmobile? Ever since I saw the movie "Wayne's World" I've wanted to make a DIY candy super ropes dispenser and install it in my car. To pull this off it took some 3D printing from Joel Telling, 3D printing nerd and 3D modeling in Fusion 360 from Bill Doran of Punished Props. Watch my kid dreams become my grownup reality.

I'm pretty sure that square sheave piece they custom made is a regular hardware part you can buy. It's used to help pull wires through holes in the walls so the wires doesn't rub and get stuck on the edge of the wall. I only know this because I work in a hardware store and they probably couldn't get one that small anyway. still really cool to see them 3D print their own ^^

Knife switches are not sold commercially because they are a safety hazard and kind of impractical for most electrical work, but you can get them from science supply companies that sell STEM kits to schools, because they are great tools to teach electricity and circuits. I saw the knife switch and though of all the science labs where they are sitting in a box full of wire and old electronic sets.

I'd have been tempted to put one of the pieces of liquorice in a hot glue gun, instead of the glue stick, and then use that to join the other pieces. Probably wouldn't have ended well.

So funny thing about "you don't have a printer in the bathroom". Guess where I have my 3d printer? In a (not frequently used) bathroom... Nice big counter, drawers for supplies, power outlets on the counter, exhaust fans (which mattered more when I printed ABS instead of PLA or PETG)... Actually works really well.

I literally started following you solely based on this Wayne's World project! One of my favorite movies and to see it come to reality is amazing. Also, just got a 3d printer, so I hope the STL is on thingaverse lol
