I'm using a MAC, when I right click, I don't have the option to create a file. I've looked in the Finder (file manager program) menus, but there is no option to enable this feature. I think the tutorial uses a MAC also. How do I enable this? Thanks for any help.

AFAIK Drupal does not allow hypens in theme names (e.g. city-guide would not be allowed for the theme folder name).

He says underscore not hyphens. But yes you are correct you can not use hyphens

hyphens = -
underscore = _
