It’s rest position is just a default position, so if there’s a fault with the throttle body you should still be able to limp home.

Full marks man now I understand it, I thought it was controlling the duty cycle of the motor but it is putting out 2 voltages to the motor like 12 and 10 to get it to open/close, my ECU is still not able to stroke the throttle flapper though, everything tested good, the pot and the motor, even the throttle motor relay is working. Do you know of any software that I could use to override (stroke) the throttle body motor?

You can open and closed the round metal inside the throttle body right coz i just removed mine and it will only open it wont closed. It will closed if i will removed the top gear. Thanks

I think this is a throttle for a diesel vehicle. Where you need as much air to enter the vehicle at start up for compression. In comparison to a gas vehicle. I could be wrong.😁
