There are so many times when I've wallowed in my sins and gone dry for days, weeks, even months. Yet I still found myself on my knees praying empty words to God, without feeling anything. It was only by God's grace and mercy that HE called me to him and brought me back time and time again. I don't believe that we must 'feel something' or 'be moved' in order to pray. I'm not hating on this song- I love the song and the band, but I just believe that praying matters even when we don't feel anything. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
