Just a minor correction - green revolution or industrial farming will be disastrous for African people and the consumers of food grown accordingly. Punjab in India was the green revolution hotspot that had rampant use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Now large number of farmers get treatment for cancer, travelling in a train named Cancer train.

Please focus on organic or agro-farming for sustainability and beware of the harmful technologies.

I am an American with Nigerian descent, and I LOVE to see advancements in agriculture. After our green revolution here in the US, we have destroyed our soils. So I am now working to regenerate the biodiversity in soil so food can grow naturally again.

I am from Ghana and a farmer myself, look the village where I am farming is full of fertile soil and a river which can be used as tourist sites, somany opportunities for us especially we the youths but the sad thing is that the youth want fast money, they are not changing to catch up with how technology is changing agriculture, 96% sub Saharan Africans have old primitive mentality of farming, the mindset is holding us stagnant.we hardly change.

I would like to get into the processing side of farming. Too many things spoil and go bad before they even reach market, but if you processed the food, it would last 30 times longer.

But how can this fact become possible in Nigeria where and when these Fulanis herdsmen are busy endangering the lives of farmers? People are now even more drawn back to go to farming because of the fear of these callous monsters.
