I have an lg and use a cable box. I have set up universal, but can’t figure how to record a live program and vise versa to delete it.

I had an old LG TV that had much better software than the new OLED 65" that I recently bought. LG has gone backwards in terms of software. I regret sticking to LG, I should've moved on to other brands.
