since dirt paths aren't a full block, you can put white concrete on the bottom part of the walls to get a 1/16th block border across the bottom. This emulates the baseboards on indoor walls pretty well.

For me I use smooth stone for the ceiling

Use

Yellow Terracotta (wall)
Brown Concrete (for under the yellow)
Dirt Path (so the brown can show, and also a good carpet texture)
Any Froglight (lights)
Polished Diorite (ceiling)

And the walls have to be 3-4 blocks tall so that it looks like an office building.
Hope this helps!

I've been having a hard time trying to find a material for the carpet. I never thought of using grass paths, but it looks perfect! Thanks for the tip!

For me, it's Yellow Terracotta for the carpet, stripped oak wood for the walls, polished diorite for the roof, and yellow froglight for the lights.

Idea: using different color palettes for different areas
Stone, smooth stone, frog light, gray wool, smooth quartz, etc.

There’s a slight problem, the dirt path isn’t a full block, which means you’ll be seeing a bit of some dirt, there’s an easy counter, but I just wanted to point that out

In my opinion, the better building block would be jellow terracota and yellow frog light.

extra detail: if you want to make your backrooms bigger, grab a structure block, place it at the height of the bottom of the wall, and size it out, then you can paste it next to the rest of the level, and you can keep pasting it, or even selecting more area and pasting that until you have a extremely open backrooms level.
