JD Vance urges voters to get 'a sense of humor' after comedian makes Puerto Rico slur at Trump rally

Republican vice presidential nominee Ohio Senator JD Vance sidestepped criticisms over a Trump campaign event in New York while in Wisconsin on Monday.

Vance was speaking a day after a comedian opening the former president's Madison Square Garden rally called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.”

"I think a lot of Americans are sick of the distractions and sick of the B.S.," Vance told the audience in Wausau. "They want our candidates to talk about how they're going to solve the people's problems," he said.

"We're not going to restore the greatness of American civilization, if we get offended at every little thing," Vance added. "Let's have a sense of humor, let's have a little fun and let's go win in eight days. "

The Madison Square Garden rally, which saw thousands of Trump supporters at one of the most iconic arenas in the country, was filled with crude and racist insults. The comment from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe drew wide condemnation. In a rare move late Sunday, the Trump campaign distanced itself from the remarks.

To have a sense of humor and accept a joke, one must hear a good joke. How the hell was that EVEN a joke? It wasn't. It was an incredibly racist comment and only the ignorant laughed or said that people simply don't know how to take a joke. Ask yourselves how many puertorricans has served their country in the YOUR military? Over 375, 000 since ww1. How many puerto ricans live in the us? Almost 6, 000, 000. Over 470, 000 live in pennsylvania alone. That's 6, 000, 000 posibly votes they wont posibly have since they are also us citizens, so not only it wasn't funny but shows how much they "REALLY LOVE" their citizens.
