Saying this is just another Mustang, is like saying a Picasso is just a painting

That's too valuable, clean, and rare to actually drive around on the street.

I knew a guy in the kate 70s that had a 69 428 Cobra Jet Mustang with less than 200 miles on it. Everyone kept trying to buy it from him but he wouldn't sell it, he said that it would be worth $100k some day, everyone laughed and laughed.

The worst part about collector car auctions is the buyer who knows nothing about cars, there's thousands upon thousands of flippers who hack these cars together with just a halfway decent paint job, my thing is this if you don't see yourself mirror image, without swirls and things looking bigger or funky, if it's not the exact shape that you see and lines are not strait . That is a hacked car, if someone fudged on the paint what else did it NOT get done, I've seen pop riveted frames, to two three tack welds holding the tops of shock mounts in place, pop riveted rockers to whole quarters with an inch of bondo on top of it, look over the cars completely or if you don't know about cars get a mechanic buddy or hire someone to look over a 50, 000$ investment, $100 to look over a car is worth it when your life could be on the line, there's more hacks in this industry than you think and there's some great people out there too but pop rivets and just a couple tacks in areas that absolutely need proper things done doesn't cut it when you and your family are out in a drive in what you thought was a complete restoration, a good 30 minute inspection maybe an hour is completely worth it...

Awesome before I die I’m going to build one and when I die I will give it away to someone who deserves it.

My best friend hrove a convertible mustang and I don’t remember what motor it had in it but that was his first car when he was a freshman. When he became a sophomore his dad traded the convertible mustang I think it was a 1965 he got a fastback Mustang 1969 with a hi-po 289 for his second car and he still has it today. And that was more than 30 years ago.

I'll take a clone for a third the price and drive it everyday.

Would rather have the 69 428 Cobra Jet

These auctions really distort the price of cars. A lot of the auctions we see on tv has an audience full of millionaires.
