FL Studio Basics 52: Patcher

Holy crap +SeamlessR, I had no idea this is available as a stand alone plugin for any DAW use, just a different name "Minihost" AND IT'S FREE!!!! That's crazy. The limitless possibilities of this are amazing.

Slide note data is buggy and doesn't always work over midi when using midi controllers. FL note data is different than midi.

So workaround for this is to give each instrument its own mixer track, and have a patcher insert on the master. This will use the FL note data from the piano roll instead. You're not limited to 99 instruments that way either. Each FL note data stream has 16 different voice outputs, because you can use 16 different note colors by utilizing the fruity VFX color mapper. (Words. Idk words.)  

One neat thing you can do too is when you're using a small screen, is to put a patcher in a patcher.  Also, when a plugin interface is too big and you can't read it or reach every knob, put it in a patcher! (harmor) Yay, now you have scrolly bars! :D

I need help getting my audio back. I opened patcher for the first time and the audio stopped working. even after i deleted patcher. It reads my midi. but i get no sound from anything/

Hi, does anyone involved have any idea how I can use normal keyboard shortcuts inside a Patcher instance? For example, when I'm recording in Edison, I trim, play, record, etc. using hotkeys.

Having none within Patcher is quite limiting.

Does routing in Patcher conserve on RAM? For instance, say I have a project loaded where all the routing takes place in the mixer, and the CPU load is spiking. If I were to route in Patcher instead, would that reduce the load on the CPU or would it still spike?

Easiest way to automate volume is with the old Fruity Balance plugin, it is just a pan knob and a volume knob.
