Trump accuses congresswomen of hating America, Omar of hating Jews while defending tweets

U.S. President Donald Trump doubled down on his attack on four progressive Democratic congresswomen whom he suggested should "go home" if they were not satisfied with the state of the nation on Monday, specifically targeting Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar by saying she "hates Jews" and inferred that she was proud of the Al-Qaeda.​

"If somebody has a problem with our country, if somebody doesn't want to be in our country, they should leave," Trump said at a White House event to promote American manufacturing.

The president over the weekend said in a tweet that the four first-term minority congresswomen, known informally in the U.S. Congress as "the squad," should "go back" to the "the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came." On Monday, Trump renewed his attack and called on the congresswomen to apologize to him.
