I enjoy your musical choices almost as much as your refinishing. Almost. Thank you and I always look forwards to your next video.

I love your work.  I am a woodworker and I use some of your methods.  I took me a long time to figure out that when you say polish to me that is shellac.  Us Americans, what do we know.  Your methods are improving my work.

I have just scraped the scratches off  a kitchen table top, and I do not know whether to use Oil to finish it or Polyurethene varnish. Can you help me.

Like watching you turn old wood into something to behold. What is your favorite shade of shellac flakes to you use to make your polish?

Next time tour Pop wonders why you're filming your work tell him your teaching a preacher in Tennessee how to finish the way you learned it. I do appreciate the lessons my friend.

K I have a question, I really love the old antique look but I have an old antique dresser that I have sanded down and it is gorgeous and I really want to keep the light clean color in the french polish, do you have a clip where you do that or would I just do the things the way you did? thank you.

you are inspiring..I'm going to get cracking on restoring an oak top on a dressing table, stain and polish an already stripped side table and restore my only family heirloom a simple mahogany tea caddy that is water stained to hell....I can do this...thankyou xx

Beautiful work and thanks for sharing!  Can you explain how you filled the grain?  Was it just a coat of polish with the mop, or something special with the rubber after?  Thank you so much for your videos, I've learned so much.

When you recommend to Steel Wool and Oil...what type of oil are you referring to? Also, when you clean to remove wax prior to French polishing what do you use? And finally, have to had success french polishing over varnish or poly? Thanks in advance for your comments.

Hello, The English Polisher
After finishing my exams a week ago my parents instructed me to refinish the beams in my room (its a Victorian period house) after the previous owner had unjustifiably painted over them. After covering up my beloved Victorian desk - because it was to heavy to remove from the room - I proceeded in stripping the beams. Yesterday, I finally removed these sheets, but unfortunately the stripper has burnt through the finish, all the way down to the wood surface.
Although I'm truly saddened, the prospect of doing work like on your channel is exciting! My first question is in regards to stripping the finish from the table top. Would you recommend the stripper and wire wool method for this job? Secondly, It is a particularly dark coloured desk; will a desk of this age need to be re-stained in order for the colour to be achieved before applying French Polish, or will the colour retain so long as the wood is not sanded?

Love your work, and kind regards.
Grant.
