Fairfax and AWS Cost Control

You've drunken the delicious kool-aid of cloud computing and said goodbye to those expensive data centers - but now how do you keep your costs under control when you're just one typo away from running up a big bill?

In this talk I cover some of the issues and techniques that Fairfax is using to keep costs under control, including the use of spot pricing with both cattle and pets, mistakes we've made and trying to figure out who owes what in a large trans-Tasman company.
