Kamala Harris ahead of Donald Trump in new poll

US Vice President Kamala Harris has used her first presidential campaign rally to target Republican rival Donald Trump as she takes the lead in a new poll.

According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll, Ms Harris is leading Mr Trump 44-42 per cent.

This came after President Biden bowed out of the presidential race and endorsed Ms Harris as his successor.
