A Reform UK candidate said the UK should have been neutral against Hitler - and the party continues to support them.

Andrew Marr says this demonstrates that the "right" of politics ranges from "the relatively acceptable... to the completely disgraceful".

He’s also an ex city trader, millionaire and friends with Rupert. The total definition of the establishment.

A bit harsh on Nigel. He's got lots of racist views of his own, as well.

for those wondering what this is a reference to: Ian Gribbin, the reform party's candidate in Bexhill and Battle wrote “Men pay 80% of tax – women spend 80% of tax revenue. On aggregate as a group you only take from society. Less complaining please from the 'sponging gender'." he also said posted: "Britain would be in a far better state today had we taken Hitler up on his offer of neutrality…. but oh no Britain’s warped mindset values weird notions of international morality rather than looking after its own people."

This is why we should ignore the main stream media.

I’m sorry Marr - your RaceCard has once again been refused!
Do you have any other form of argument??

"When the news says far right, think: working class" - I am working class and I completely disagree with this.

Imagine is a labour person argued to make a deal with the Soviets

How can they claim these men don’t want healthcare for women etc and then not actually reference the accused person. It’s nuts.

A massive spectrum of people from those who express completely disgraceful views to those who are much better at hiding it

“From Relatively acceptable”. Establishment is rattled.

Marr should watch Led By Donkeys' "Who Is Nigel Farage?" He may well wish to revise his comments.

One never hears about his eight year affair with a female.
Then he had a stroke so went crawling back to his poor wife
Marr has no shame.

If what has happened in Southport appears to be true, this hasn't aged well at all.

The fact that he used the word nationalist in a negative way, shows how little he understands. 90% of the world is hard line ethno nationalist and it’s totally benign. Just look at Thailand for instance

There are people with extreme views on both right and left, once you clean house on the left, feel free to point fingers.

The way I look at it. If any European country adopted policies like Japan have on crime and immigration they'd be called far-right. But nobody thinks of Japan as a horrible country

You can smell the support for Labour and Starmer emanating from many BBC presenters. In this case, Ian Gribbin is clearly an inappropriate candidate who likely slipped through the cracks due to a snap election. These things can happen in all parties. For example, the Green Party had to eject several candidates for antisemitism. My thoughts are that Reform should have done better to weed out people like Ian. However, it is unfair of Marr to paint the whole of Reform as a party that harbours racism and sexism. For context, I did not vote for Reform, the Conservatives, or any right-wing party.

I don't know what Andrew Marr imagines he's doing, but it isn't journalism. Closer to creative writing or performance art, really. Sadly, the BBC doesn't understand the difference any more than Marr does.

It’s quite ridiculous to imply that right leaning politicians are bad because ‘some’ very extreme people might follow them. This would of course apply to any side of politics or indeed anything which evokes even the slightest bit of passion. If some football hooligans have a fight in the pub you wouldn’t blame the team’s manager. The Green Party had to suspend 20 of their candidates. And the ironic thing about Ian Gribbin’s (ridiculous) comments of saying we should have appeased Hitler is that at the time it was the left who was strongly in favour of both appeasing Hitler and adopting Stalins communist ideas. There is no ‘good’ or ‘evil’ side of politics, just ‘good’ and ‘evil’ people, and they are found on every side
