This does have a 70 pound weight capacity. So if you have an electric bike, which is usually really heavy, this will be really good for you. Now, if you do have a step-through bike, you are gonna need to get a frame adapter bar, which isn't as ideal because you do lose that locking function on the hook that comes down. So those are just different pros and cons with this bike rack. Now, first let's talk about this bike rack and how our bike is mounted to it.

So we have one, two wheel straps holding our wheels down. Then we also have this frame clamp or our frame hook. So this comes down and secures the bike by its top tube. And notice how this is designed with a lock on the end. So if this is locked in place no one can press this button.

But with this unlock you can then press that button and lift up. So if you do have to get a frame adapter bar for your bike, I do also recommend picking up a cable lock here at etrailer that way your bike is still secured. So first, when you wanna take your bike off, you start by these straps. So you press that lever in and you pull that strap out. I do like how it goes all the way towards the back when you do release it that way.

For sure, it's not tangled up in your spokes when you're ready to take your bike off. Afterwards, hold onto your bike as you do so. You're gonna press on this button and lift up. Now from here, you can either tuck your bike back. For what I like to do is I like to take this hook all the way off, because I don't like lifting over the frame. Especially if you have a heavy electric bike, it's a lot of height to lift over. So try to hold onto your bike as you do so. Lift this lever, in order to bring this mast down, here we go. So with that mast all the way down, it's now only a slight lift, and then you are ready to go on a bike ride. That's a little, just a little tip I've learned from working with this bike rack a little bit. And when you're done and you have your bike off of your bike rack, what you can do is just pull this lever again. That's gonna bring the mast up and then just put everything back in. So as you can see, this is goes down in it, ratchets down to secure your bike's frame. Press one and then two. With it all the way in the down position, we have a distance of 21 inches from our tray to the cuff of the hook. So if your frame sits below that you will need to get a frame adapter bar. With the bike off we get to take a closer look here at our cardoso. So here we have these really strong metal cradles, the cradles that come with the bike rack have a three inches of space on the inside. Now, if you do have a fat tire bike, this is gonna work with it as long as you get the fat tire bike adapted cradles so just switch that out. So something extra it's still gonna work, but you do have to get that extra, to work with your fat tire bikes, but notice how it has this nice bashing strap with this nice cushion on the inside as well. And that's gonna help out with cushioning your wheels during transport, but also giving it a little bit of extra grip as you do transport your bike. Now, this does add a little bit of length to the back of our motorhome. We'll take a quick measurement just to see exactly how much from our rear bumper to the end of the bike rack it's 24 inches of length added, not as big of a deal compared to if it was on your SUV or your sedan. But still a measurement you might wanna know about, especially whenever you're backing into your campsite, your parking spot, you kinda like to know what you have to work with. As for how this fits here on our Jayco motorhome it's really nice to see that we have a decent clearance here from the center of the wheels to our motorhome you have 19
