Nintendo DS Programming in C - Episode 10 - 3D Tutorial 3 - Using Models

Показать описание
In this video I will give you my Obj Conversion tool and show you how to use it. It allows a textured static 3D Model, to be converted into arrays of data that we can use to redraw it on the DS. I explain some detail about the Wavefront OBJ format, then how the model pieces come together to form the whole. I also explain the DisplayList format used in libnds and provide a Manager to handle working with DisplayLists Then I demo how to create a model in Blender, texture it and export as an OBJ (wavefront) file and then drag and drop it on to the OBJTool to export a text file, which we can use in our code. Next I go over how you can manipulate 3d models and also show how the DS can use Edge Shading, to draw an outline around 3d models.
This should give you a good start to using your own 3d models on the DS, with ease.
