Problem is, thats not true. Neither physically nor philosophically. The river is the same river. Its course may change and our perception of it may change but it is still the river it was before. Same for the man. He may change things about himself, but the responsibilities of the mans history do not change. It sounds deep, but it is an extremely shallow thought that casts off what was to validate what is.
