Been playing rock/pop since 1967. Even made a living at it for about 20 years. But, just got interested in learning some jazz. I've seen some of your other lessons. Just wanted to tell you that you're an awesome teacher. Thank you, Justin.

Hey Justin, I just wanted to take a moment to express how grateful I am for your guitar videos. I've been scouring the internet for quite some time now, but I always seem to come back to yours. Your ability to teach with empathy and a charming personality truly sets you apart. I've learned so much from you and what I appreciate the most is that you have a knack for breaking things down in a way that's easy for beginners like me to understand. Your patience and calm demeanor is refreshing, and I never feel overwhelmed or stressed when learning from you. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and skills with us. It's truly invaluable.

This has cleared up so much confusion. Sticking to one note and learning the chord shapes off that one note instead of jumping all over the neck helped tremendously! Thanks Justin!!

Thank you very much for these videos. I have always wanted to play "Round Midnight" on the guitar and you are helping make that possible. I have been playing for twenty years and the way you teach made me realize that I have tons more to learn. If I am going to play "Round Midnight" well, I'd better learn how to play jazz all together. Never thought I could play jazz, thank you for giving me the steps to make it possible.

Justin, thanks for this simple but awesome lesson! I've played mostly folk chords over the years but when I started using the chords you provided in this lesson, a whole new field of creativity opened up. I really, really appreciate it. Take care.

Thanks Justin, great information for beginners like myself. I'm having a lot of excitement in learning the basic jazz chords - in understanding their constructions - especially the chord progression for "Autumn Leaves", which I know will open other opportunities in enhancing my guitar skills and knowledge. I have a greater appreciation for jazz and the many guitarist; performers, teachers, and instructors like yourself,  who have paved the way in making it a little easier for folks like me.

After looking at a number of videos, I came upon this one. Trying to learn jazz chords through trying to play a song " Autumn Leaves" wasn't working. I could work out the finger positions, but didn't understand why.
A little back ground, I played in a band in High school, in the 60's, keyboards, and played around a little with the guitar player guitar, and have pretty much always had a guitar, but didn't truly understand the neck. This opened my eyes a lot.
I can do the usual stuff, open and bar chords, and I can hear tunes and work out a lot, but jazz is what I like, and would like to learn. I recently acquired a nice "jazz box", so now I'm committed . Thank you . jeff
