Awkward Moments - Japanese Language Fail!

Let me tell you the story of one of my biggest language blunders ever. And then my dog decides to make an appearance.

I lived and studied in Japan for a year to study the Japanese language and Japanese culture. It was one of the best years of my life, especially when I had times like these. LMAO That reminds me of the time I was studying at the l'alliance française de la Jamaïque and my french teacher was setting up some things for an occasion and I literally took the expression she said "un coup de main" literally (meaning a "smack" of the hand) or as I interpreted it as (a punch) instead of what it really means (a helping hand). So when she said "Donne moi un coup de main" (Give me a hand with this) I was a bit confused but being the young naive Obedient Jamaican boy I was I presumed to clench my fist and reel in my arm even tho something was telling me that hitting a woman (especially a Jamaican woman) doesn't seem right. Luckily she saw me and began to laugh and explained everything
