I will be attending adoration of the Eucharist and praying for you and your families. Please pray for my Family Taylor, Perez and Melendez. Please pray for my deliverance. I used to attend mass in the courtyard at the old abbey and I also visited rhe chapel and meditated for hours with the beautiful crucifix on the wall. I found a lot of peace at the abbey. I fell victim to addiction and my family has been attacked. Please pray for us. There is resentment and relationship problems and my family needs your prayers. Pray for us. Thank you so much.

How is it that when a catholic says something people's comprehension skills go out the window? Of course, the most important thing in a Christian's life is to follow Christ Our Lord. The priest says "The Christian life is more about doing good than avoiding evil", he's saying what's the greater of the two in this context not that any of the two are greater than being Christlike, which is being GOOD.

No, its about loving God so much that you can't bear the thought of not obeying Him in fear that you will break His heart, and being so grateful for the price He paid to save us from ourselves and love His spirit living inside of you like your own child.

The Christian life is more about being with our heavenly Father. The closer you are with the heavenly Father the more good you do out of your new adopted nature producing the fruit of the Spirit

There are so many layers to being a Christian. Yes, it is important to do good, perhaps more so than avoiding evil. But we must not forget our greatest weakness, our weakness that our God has been trying to get us to understand; and that is pride.
We know pride is wrong, but we often fail to identify pride. If we focus on doing good without keeping our pride in check, we can become the older brother in the Prodigal Son parable.
When the father (God) celebrates the return (repentance) of his evil son, the older son disrespects his father and says “I have done everything right”. He viewed his good deeds as a means to an end, not an act of gratefulness towards God for His grace.

It’s important that we do good, but it’s even more important that we know that our good deeds do not make us good. Our goodness is not a means to an end, the end is graciously given to us by the Father; we do good to be like the Father, to really know Him.
