Scan to BIM - Heritage Building
Показать описание
Mars BIM is one of the leading BIM service provider across the globle. With large infrastructure projects in countries like the USA, Europe, and other countries across the globe, we have successfully managed our presence online in the BIM industry beating the competitors.
The recent fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris has stressed the importance of the digitization of heritage sites. Fortunately, the cathedral was laser-scanned by Professor Andrew Tallon in 2015, and the combination of BIM and 3D laser scanning offers hope in the arduous task of restoring the landmark.
Heritage buildings usually have complex (non-parametric) geometries that turn their digitization through conventional methods in inaccurate and time-consuming processes.
The wide use of tools and accurate surveying techniques makes it possible to achieve an adequate level of accuracy of information related to the buildings; BIM tools offer a great potential, in terms of both planning and evaluation of the entire knowledge and conservation process of an historical building, and in terms of its management and future maintenance.
MaRS BIM is capable of incorporating both qualitative and quantitative information about a built asset to represent physical and functional characteristics, it can provide simulations of the appearance, development and performance of an asset. Intangible characteristics, such as heritage values and significance, can be integrated into the 3D model in a structured and consistent way, which allows easy information extraction and the production of deliverables.
MaRS has helped its USA based client to preserve this 19th Century building by providing Scan to BIM Services.
