The 41 MP Pureview sensor in the Lumia 1020 is phenomenal. It's just the type of camera that you want to take pictures with because you know for a fact that it's going to be awesome. The dedicated camera button on Lumia 1020 makes it much easier to snap pictures and makes it feel more like a point and shoot camera.
The Lumia 1020 features Xenon flash at the back and is unlike other LED flash lights that we have seen. Lumia 1020 camera can take some serious pictures in the darkest of conditions. The lens is a wide angle lens which means that it can capture more view than you would ordinarily expect.

Nokia Lumia 1020 ships with a standard windows OS camera app and its own 'Nokia Pro Cam'. If I were you, I would only use the Pro Cam and leave the default camera out of the picture.

The auto mode in the Nokia Pro Cam app makes it easy for anyone to capture great images with ease, and provides quick access to sport and night controls. And when you want to create that perfect composition, manual mode offers controls for exposure, shutter speed, ISO, white balance and focus. There is a pretty slick way to manually adjust these settings -- just slide the camera icon towards the left and a futuristic UI pops out allowing you to control picture settings one by one.
