The GOES-R series, NOAA's next-generation geostationary weather satellites, is a game changer. These satellites, beginning with the launch of GOES-R on November 4, 2016, will provide continuous imagery and atmospheric measurements of Earth’s Western Hemisphere, total lightning data, and space weather monitoring to provide critical atmospheric, hydrologic, oceanic, climatic, solar and space data.

These measurements will lead to significant improvements in the detection and observations of meteorological phenomena that directly affect public safety, protection of property and our GOES fleet in the GOES-R era nation’s economic health and prosperity.

Would be better if you had 3 of these, to form a Geostationary Orbit, and just infinitly monitor Earth, and Sol. (<--- sorry, couldn't handle saying that...)

This video doesn't even give a wink to the other three instruments on board GOES observing the Sun. Shameful and ignorant marketing NOAA! Come on, you gus can do better than this, especially given the fact that this is a multi-billion dollar program!
