Danish PM Visits Baltic States, Offers 800 Additional Troops

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Denmark is offering to increase its military deployment in the three Baltic countries by sending 800 more troops under NATO command.

Danish Prime Minister traveled to Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.
She is together with party leaders from the parties that joined forces on a historic defense agreement earlier this month.
The visit comes after Mette Frederiksen announced that the government will offer to further send a combat battalion consisting of 800 soldiers to the Baltics if NATO officially requests it.
The Prime Minister and the other party leaders behind the national compromise on Danish security policy arrived in Latvia, which is the last stop on their trip to the Baltic countries.
