Disappointing yet unsurprising that there are more Cartman's in the world than we're willing to admit

How could the non-disabled Spanish basketball players look the two that were disabled in the eye everyday for two years?

This was the most optimistic cheating ever. Obviously someone who knows these people was going to see it somewhere

That poor 16-year-old coached into believing she had an actual disability by adults in her life, only for her to bear the public outrage and stripping of her medal ): probably ruined her passion for competing and even sporting in general, that’s her whole damn career; I bet a lot of passion and dreams have been crushed by this faking/exaggerating forced on them until they have a rare chance to blow the whistle. No sympathy for those who choose to on their own, but I have to express at least a little for those ‘coached’ into it, especially at age 16….that’s so cruel

Even after cheating, it's hilarious to me that these wretched people STILL couldn't win gold.

Cheating in sports, while frowned upon and actively discouraged and humiliated, is what sometimes people do to remain competitive. But this one just takes the cake because they just pretended to be disabled only to take the pride and prize from those who actually deserved it.

_Cheating, scamming and lying is indiscriminate, and that’s a lesson the whole world should learn._

Great video. Haven’t heard about this controversy before, and it was disheartening to learn about. I hope there is a speedy solution upon us. Respect to all disabled athletes!

Sigh. I’m not an athlete by any means but I am physically disabled and this just sucks.

This is truly disgusting. As the father of an autistic daughter that plays basketball it is really disgusting and disappointing.

Dang I’ve heard of the Spanish team before but I had no idea so many other athletes were doing that as well! Crazy

You know what a huge difference is between actual physically impaired athletes compared to liars? People who actually have disabilities aren't concerned about the prize money, they just want fair representation and to help others in the same situation they are in...if you were to make all winnings and proceeds go to funding people with disabilities then I can assure you the amount of people that will try faking will dwindle to next to zero. The fact they still make this sport self enriching just shows me the people that run it are profiting off the corruption.. until they are removed nothing will change... just like the regular Olympics

Jesus I didn't think this happened more regularly that it's "expected"

It’s silly but Johnny Knoxville made a movie called The Ringer. His character claimed to be special needs to win the Olympics.

I feel like that happens a lot, it’s just not reported.
