Unlimited access to social media is a problem? The problem is the people that do not care to check or even read beyond the headlines.

Watts should have been a part of the panel. The guy is a square, but he's on point.

Squares have their place. They're what we used to call conservatives.

I hope that being an honorable person is not a thing of the past. Clint Watts is an honorable man and I just hope there are more out there who appreciate our country and want to protect it from the current "administration."

Confirmation bias only affects everyone else because you can't see it in yourself.

Long before the internet came along, a wise man said, "We believe what we WANT to believe." Then, presumably, we look for a bunch of people who agree with us so we don't have to spend all day arguing with other folks. I think this sort of "tribalism" is natural for human beings, although it might not be admirable. I was very impressed with Mr. Watts' take on this, because, as he explained, what the internet did was not "create, " but simply magnify this tendency by a thousand-fold. As one of the other commenters (see below) asserts, it's a lot easier to see this behavior in other people than in ourselves. When we're inside the "bubble" or the "echo-chamber, " we can't tell. For me, the take-away from all this is that- for Americans to be fighting with each other because of our "left or right-wing opinions" profits only our enemies. I'm sure they're lovin' all this in-fighting, and don't care, at this point, who wins, as long as we keep weakening ourselves. They've set the ball in motion, and now we're doing their dirty work FOR them, while they sit back and laugh. My friends, let's work together and show them how strong we can be when we unite!
