I love how this song was transformed into a haunting melody. It fits the conversation and times back then and today.

The Elvis movie is more or less a musical. I loved it.

Sister Rosetta Tharpe as channeled by Yola ❤️
The accompanying scene in the movie is chilling and ratchets up the suspense for what comes next.

This is a really incredible version, it somehow transcends the original.
Love the gospel with that deep south guitar twang!

I was a teen when Elvis transformed America, there will never be another Elvis. What he did for American culture and music was extraordinary. Elvis started the civil rights movement in his own way by singing Black music and bringing it to the forefront of the segregated South and across the nation. Black artists have consistently praised him. James Brown was the first to arrive at Graceland when Elvis died and he stayed in the room with Elvis the entire day and had to be asked to leave so they could get ready for the funeral the following day. See what James Brown said about Elvis in interviews on YouTube along with Little Richard, Rufus Thomas, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Ernest Withers, Al Green, Sammy Davis Jr., Chuck D (Hip Hop founder), Charlie Rich, Jackie Wilson and his Jackie Wilson's son, Isaac Hayes, Reverend Brewster (of the Black church Elvis would attend before he was famous). Elvis Presley was the Greatest Entertainer of the 20th Century and had the Greatest Influence on American Culture and Music.

I've seen it 9 times now and I love it more every single time. Bought the soundtrack and pre-ordered the movie. I might see it 100 times before I'm through. Austin Butler is so incredible you can't take your eyes off him.

Literally just gave me the chills and I just love it. Never heard of anything like this I was just curious to see k Michelle and I was just getting over the song and I looked at this and I’m so glad I found it. It’s just a reminder that we have no idea how much life is always in the right direction no matter where we are coming from

*I was never a fan of Elvis really and I was only 10 when he died. This movie, and especially the soundtrack, moved me to tears several times. Excellent film.*

I think they did a fantastic job with the music, revamping, reinventing the sound but keeping the substance of what made it classic
