CCV is one that I have circled for a call-up in the June Nation's League window. I find it unlikely for him to make the squad in Qatar, however. At only 24, he has time to work himself into the picture before 2026.

If CCV becomes one millionth of the player VVD is he’ll be the best defender in this current USMNT pool. Fingers crossed he gets there, rooting for him!

5 PLAYERS CELTIC SHOULD SIGN THIS SUMMER! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🍀

Jota 🇵🇹 (S.L. Benfica 🇵🇹)

He’s one of the most exciting players Celtic Park has seen in a long time. £6.5M option to make him permanent? Absolute no-brainer. Worth every penny.

Souleymane Isaak Touré 🇫🇷 (Le Havre 🇫🇷)

Standing at 6’9, the young Frenchman would be a phenomenal signing for Celtic. His power and physicality is unparalleled, his presence in the air is like no other and he’s a rock solid defender. The next out of the Le Havre conveyor belt. Yes please, Celtic.

Evander 🇧🇷 (FC Midtjylland 🇩🇰)

Evander is a ‘Rolls-Royce’ of a midfielder. Excellent on the ball, creativity beyond belief, an eye for goal and brings a bit of Brazilian flair. He’s an upgrade on Turnbull in every sense of the word. Can you imagine a midfield trio of Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley and Evander? Wow. I’d do unspeakable things for that! With him playing for Midtjylland he’d 100% be within budget too!

Ryan Mmaee 🇲🇦 (Ferencváros TC 🇭🇺)

The complete forward in almost every department. He’s 6’2 and has the power of a bull, yet what makes him that extra bit special is that, despite his frame and physicality, his footwork and dribbling is exceptional. Not only that but he’s very versatile as he can play through the middle or off the left. Throw in the fact he has 19 goals and 11 assists this season and you have one unbelievably promising player. At 24 years of age, Ryan Mmaee could have a massive future at Celtic!

Victor Kristiansen 🇩🇰 (FC København 🇩🇰)

Left-back is the spot in which Celtic require more than any other position. Victor Kristiansen would be an absolute dream for Celtic. He’s only 19 but he’s the complete full-back. He’s very fast, dynamic, powerful, he’s got a deadly crossing ability, he can dribble, and he can tackle. To sum up how good this boy is, he’s got to be in the top 3 best u21 left-backs in Europe. That’s how good he is.

BONUS TARGETS

Raphael Onyedika 🇳🇬 (FC Midtjylland 🇩🇰)

Celtic have been crying out for physicality in the midfield. As good on the ball as McGregor is, we have no mean streak, no destroyer in middle of the pitch for when you are in a bit of a battle. Raphael Onyedika would be an amazing addition to Celtic’s squad. His ferocious nature, his energy and his ball retention would give Celtic another dimension in our midfield.

Ola Solbakken 🇳🇴 (FK Bodø/Glimt 🇳🇴)

James Forrest is not at the required level anymore and Karamoko Dembélé is gone, leaving Celtic with only Liel Abada as a quality option wide right. Ola Solbakken’s proved already how much of a handful he is given his pace, power, trickery and his ability to score goals. He turned the game on it’s head against a few months ago. His contract is up in December and the rumoured fee is only £1.6M. Bargain’s don’t come much better than Ola Solbakken.

James Sands was a key player for NYFC in winning an MLS Cup. He can't even get off of the bench for Rangers. And I like James Sands. Our 2026 World Cup coach needs to be Jesse Marsch. No more mediocre sitting MLS coaches.

He has more goals than most of our strikers!

You are quickly becoming my favorite USMNT creator! I find myself going to your channel just to see if I missed the newest video.

At the very least, I think he deserves a call up to a camp. I know ggg wanted him in the gold cup last year so he's on the radar but let's see what happens. Another superb video Sir 👍

Really gives me uMAXit Football vibes, which was the predecessor to Tifo Football. I really like how you experiment with your videos & all of them have worked for you and your channel! Love the content as well, even though I’m more someone that likes to learn about USMNT rather than an American myself.

Better on the ball than Long Zimmerman and Robinson. Better aerial presence than all 3. For me, he should be number 3 or 4 in the depth chart going to Qatar. He's developed quite well at Celtic in spite of the Scottish Prem being slightly below the English Championship where he also excelled in many loan stints there.

If Antonee Robinson can get USMNT caps while in the Championship, why cant CCV?

I think Cameron Carter-Vickers is an example of why Celtic are always one step behind in Europe. Is he a good player? Absolutely. For £10M though there is definitely better alternatives out there.

Kim Min-jae 🇰🇷 (£2.5M)
Souleymane Isaak Touré 🇫🇷
Josip Šutalo 🇭🇷
Tanguy Nianzo 🇨🇮

All of those names above are better than CCV and all of them could be bought for £10M or less. You wouldn’t see another big club who you’d like to say we’re on par with go and sign CCV over any of them. PSV, Fenerbahçe, Club Brugge, Olympiacos etc etc. PSV or Fenerbahçe would sign a Souleymane Isaak Touré. They would sign a Josip Šutalo. They would sign (did sign) a Kim Min-jae. They wouldn’t sign CCV. Why? Because he isn’t the best available player for that money. He isn’t anywhere near as big a prospect as these other players. That’s why Celtic are always one step behind.

These clubs are ruthless, these clubs are meticulous when it comes to signing the best players they physically can in the transfer market. They scout all over the world from every league and they find the best. That’s why they beat Celtic every year.

Do I like CCV. Yeah, of course. I’d like him a lot better if he cost around £5M. Is he the best we could have got for £10M? No. That’s not my opinion. That’s a fact.

Bro gorgeous work. Not calling this man up is a travesty. Considering he called up sands and Long last window. Be well

Carter Vickers and Brooks should be solid mainstays while Richards and Zimmerman should be fringe or complimentary defenders for your USMNT.

He's good if he can use it as a launching for a successful EPL career

Very cool looking video! Although I recognize that CB is not a huge need for the US right now, I still think that CCV needs to be brought into the mix. You never know when an injury (or drop in form) cuts our depth, and we'll need someone who can step in. Celtic play a 4-3-3, like the US, with the fullbacks pushing high up into the attack. So, CCV wouldn't have that much of a problem fitting in to what Berhalter's system.

Good video. Wish it was longer. Interesting the mixed bag of CBs who have left the SPL.

As for CCV, I still hold to the position that too much is made about this player. The USMNT issues lie in GK and in CF, not at CB. I would call him in to get a look, but I don't think he's moving the needle and is only adding to depth.
I do have my reservations about CCV when he's on a team (Celtic) that's better than 95% of the league - how much is he really tested. Further, CCV has had a lackluster career to this point, evidenced by his bouncing from team to team every season. If he does get a transfer to an EPL team, we'll get a better sense of his actual quality and his inclusion into the USMNT roster would be less of a question.
