This show always had some kind of maturity feel to it. Specially with most of these characters not originally belonging (referring to the old cartoons) in a urban city. Which feels like that they were acting in the old cartoons and this is their life out of it like it was their work.

Gossamer is such a sad character in this version and paint a whole new perspective of his other iterations. After years of taking their crap the dude finnaly lost, becoming the monster that so many people saw him as. Really, it’s sad to think that other kids are probably going through the same situation as he is right now. Kids really can be true monsters if left unchecked.
